    Sustainability

    Respect in Action —

Pinewood Healthcare is committed to a science-based approach to climate change mitigation. Our transition plan, aligned with the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, outlines our strategy to decarbonise operations and enhance resilience. This plan encompasses all our facilities and addresses both our direct operations and our value chain.

We want to enable our people, clients, and communities to succeed now and in the future. We are driven to address the world’s most pressing challenges through our own actions and in the products we market.

Find out how we are driving positive change —

Highlights from our 2023 journey include:

    • 100% of our electricity is from renewable sources
    • Employee Health and Safety – zero critical incidents
    • 49.5% female participation at company level

While we are proud of what we have achieved to date, we are constantly challenging ourselves to do more.

    Environment —

At Pinewood, we are playing our part in addressing the
climate crisis and helping to achieve global carbon reduction
targets. Our targets are in line with best practice climate action,
the Paris Agreement, and the Science Based Target Initiative,
and we strive for ‘carbon neutrality’ by reducing our
    absolute emissions.

When it comes to our approach to environmental sustainability,
We have have set two clear goals:

    1. Reduce our absolute emissions by 50% by 2030, ultimately becoming a net zero firm by 2050
    2. Reduce our organisational waste to less than 1% of our materials consumption

    Community —

Our community pillar engages with local communities to create
shared value partnerships that benefit society, playing a crucial
    part in our sustainability journey.

Pinewood proudly sponsors the Children’s Ward of Clonmel Hospital , the Ballymacarbry Ladies Football Club and the Nire Valley-Ballymacarbry Newsletter.

    People —

benefit of its employees, clients, and any other associates of the
firm. We recognise and value differences in those we employ
and engage with, and we strive to create a culture of inclusion,
